D ahlia has known from a very young age that childcare was her calling. At the age of 9 she had the opportunity to be a mothers’ helper, which graduated into babysitting by 12 years old where she discovered how much she enjoyed working with children and making a difference in their lives. Growing up in Northern California, she spent every summer during high school working at a summer camp as a counselor. She thoroughly enjoyed bonding and being a positive role model to younger children. When it came time for college, She moved to San Diego to attend SDSU, where she worked at several different programs through the YMCA helping underprivileged children overcome challenges. This helped set her firmly on the path that led to earning her BS in child and family development, then into her career as a preschool teacher.

Dahlia worked as a teacher for a number of years before being a stay at home mom for several years helped her realize her desire to do something with her potential that would benefit both children and parents.

“I worked as a teacher for a number of years before I married and had 3 beautiful children of my own.”

With her strong background and knowledge in working with children, she discovered and fell in love with parent coaching. Although certification isn’t a requirement, her dedication to this field prompted her to take a year long master’s certification program from The Parent Coaching Institute at the highly esteemed Seattle Pacific University. This program really propelled her into the wonderful world of parent coaching, transforming family lives through connecting parents to children.
